We are a photography group focusing on rural and urban decay. If it is old, forgotten, run down and rotted... it is welcome here!
 There is a global submission limit of 5 photographs per MONTH week as not to flood the members inboxes!
This may be subject to change in the future.
Please choose the folder that the subject of your photograph fits the best in.
The folders are:
 Featured - NO LONGER OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS.
Due to members abusing the "Featured" folder and automatically submitting their work only to this folder I've decided to close it off to submissions. From now on, only an admin can access the "Featured" folder. We will at times move a deviation submitted to us to the "Featured" folder if it meets our standards.
Buildings & Monuments - interior & exterior shots of: houses, hospitals/asylums, forts/military buildings, castles, schools, statues/monuments, tombstones/gravestones/mausoleums, etc...
Landscapes - fields/paddocks, mountain ranges, hills, valleys, deserts, sea scapes, etc...
Wildlife - Someone once asked me why I included "Wildlife" as a gallery folder, this is why: most natural wildlife habitats are shrinking due to the ever growing human race. It is becoming more rare to see wild animals in their natural habitats. This folder is to show your photos of any kind of wildlife in their natural environment and not in zoos.
Please only submit LIVING wildlife. We've been receiving too many images of deer dead from being roadkill. These photos defeat the purpose of this folder and will be declined.
Automobiles & Transportation - antique/vintage transportation (wagons, etc...) cars, trucks, vans, planes, trains, roads, railroad tracks, tractors (can also go in "Farm & Ranch Life), etc...
Farm & Ranch - barns, farm houses, stables, corrals, fences, pens, windmills and watering holes, cattlemen working herds, cattle grazing in fields, etc...
With People - Any photo that includes a person or group of people and that still fits the theme of our group should now be placed into the "With People" folder.
Miscellaneous - This is the catch-all folder. Anything that does not fit into the other folders should go here such as objects, antique furniture, antique toys, etc.... Also, if you are unsure of where to place a submission, place them into "Miscellaneous" with a comment in your submission process and one of the admins will move it to the appropriate folder for you.
**NOTE**
If you do don't see the photos you have submitted to a certain gallery, they have not been removed but have been moved to a more appropriate gallery folder.
All photos are subject to approval before being featured in the group.
We are not going to approve every photo that is added. We are wanting to keep high standards for the photography that we allow and feature. However, we understand that not everyone is a professional photographer. Everyone has room for improvement. Also, if your work is declined, we will tell you why.
Please only submit photos that have not been extremely post-processed via your Photo Editing Program. Adjusting curves/levels/noise removal, etc... is fine, but this is a photography group, not an art group. |
